Would you be surprised to know how many multi-systemic actions are going on within you right now, whether you are conscious of them or not?
All though they are used interchangeably, it's always a good idea to differentiate between using the words subconscious and unconscious for contextual reasons because the word conscious itself has a very distinct meaning.
The terms "subconscious" and "unconscious" both refer to mental processes that occur beneath an individual's conscious awareness. However, there is a subtle difference between the two.
The subconscious mind refers to the parts of our mind that are not in our immediate awareness but can be accessed with some effort. It consists of thoughts, desires, memories, and feelings that we may not be consciously aware of, but with focused attention, they can be brought into conscious awareness.
On the other hand, the unconscious mind refers to mental processes that occur without conscious awareness or control. These processes are not easily accessed or explored through introspection. The unconscious mind is thought to house deeply rooted beliefs, instincts, and automatic behaviors.
In essence, the subconscious mind is a part of our conscious mind, while the unconscious mind is a separate and hidden realm of our psyche.
